Reading is fundamental.  So is a college degree to the average american from the perspective of corporate achievement and seeking financial stability.  This piece is not going to focus on the average american, but it will shine a light on two young, empowering, and talented women who represent the African-American culture in their journey through life as well as their literature.  Keep reading to learn more about the two authors who will be joining Hoops & High Heels Inc. at “The #HBCU Experience” on July 15th this Summer !!

J.B. Vample_J.B. Vample is an Adult/Contemporary fiction author. She earned her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), one of many historically black colleges/universities that our country has to offer.

roxanne-ridgeRoxanne Ridge is a graduate of Bowie State University (BSU), a dynamic HBCU in the D.C.-Metropolitan area.  Ms. Ridge is a multi-genre author who writes in the categories of horror, fantasy, thriller, and mystery.  She has a passion for the youth to use imagination and creativity through reading and writing.

With every book, she aims to inspire and give 10% of all sales back to the not-for-profit charity, Life Journeys Writers Guild Inc.
